It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Alanında yaptığı çalışmalar göz önünde bulundurulduğunda gelecek nesillere turizm, kültür anlatıcılığıyla ve edebiyatla alakalı kayda değer eserler bırakmış bir isimdir. Bu araştırmada Prof. Dr. Şadan Gökovalı'nın 15 Mart 1939 'da Muğla'nın Gökova Mahallesinde doğumundan günümüze kadar gelişinde yaşanan olaylar, gazetecilik ve medya hayatı, Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı ve Azra Erhat ile olan ilişkisi,Türk ve Dünya kültür turizmine ve edebiyata olan katkıları ele alınmıştır. Şadan Gökovalı, Şadan Gökovalı'nın yaşadığı bölgedeki yerel halk ile yaptığımız röportajlar ve kendisinin konu edinildiği gazete ve kitaplardan faydalanılarak biyografik bir çalışma yapılmıştır.Prof. Dr. Şadan Gökovalı is one of the most important figures who contribute to the Turkish and World's cultural heritage. Considering his work in his field, he is a significant name who left works related to tourism, culture narration and literature to the future generations. In this article we point out Prof. Dr. Şadan Gökovalı's life since he was born in Gökova, the Street of Muğla, on 15 March 1939, his journalism and media life, his relation between Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı and Azra Erhat, his contributions to the Turkish and World tourism and literature.
