It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Bu çalışmalar Dursun Ali İnan’ın kurduğu bungalov ve balık restoranı ile başlamıştır. Araştırmamızda Dursun Ali İnan ile yaptığımız röportajdan, hakkında yapılmış belgesellerden, Uzungöl üzerine yazılan makale ve tezlerden yararlanılarak İnan’ın 1970’ten önceki hayatına, Uzungöl’de gerçekleştirdiği yenilikçi adımlara, bölge halkının görüşlerine ve bölgedeki gelişmelere katkılarına, İnan’ın bölge halkı için yarattığı fırsatlara, Uzungöl’ün günümüzde karşılaştığı tehlikelere ve yakın tarihte açılmış olan Dursun Ali Müzesi’ne odaklanılmıştır. Uzungöl’ü bir turizm merkezi haline getiren Dursun Ali İnan, bölge turizmi ve Trabzon için büyük önem taşımaktadır.Before 1970, Uzungöl was a region where the local population had to rely on livestock farming for livelihood and struggled with unemployment and migration. Dursun Ali İnan, who went to Germany in 1969 and returned in 1974, conducted certain several activities for tourism in the region. These activities started with the establishment of bungalows and a fish restaurant by Dursun Ali İnan. This study focuses on interviews conducted with Dursun Ali İnan, documentaries made about him, and articles and theses on Uzungöl to focus on Dursun Ali’s life before 1970, his innovative steps on the region, the perspectives of the local community of İnan, the positives İnan has created for the community, the current threats against Uzungöl and the recently created Dursun Ali Museum.
