It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Basında ve halk arasında “fuarlara girişi yasaklanan sanayici” olarak tanınan Mennan Aksoy, tekstil makineleri üzerine akademik eğitim almamasına rağmen sentetik iplik makinesi üretimi yaptı ve bu makinelerin Türkiye içinde ve yurt dışına satışını gerçekleştirdi. Makine üretimi yapmak için TÜBİTAK ve TTGV’den destek gördü, ayrıca alanında uzman ve eğitimli kişilerle ortaklıklarda bulunarak Türkiye’nin tekstil sanayisinde önemli bir role sahip oldu. Yalnızca ilkokul mezunu olmasına rağmen gösterdiği başarı, basının da ilgisini çekti, birçok gazete haberine ve belgesele konu oldu.Mennan Aksoy, born in 1952, is an industrialist from Gaziantep. Known in the media and among the public as the "industrialist banned from trade fairs," Mennan Aksoy, despite not having academic education in textile machinery, produced synthetic yarn machines and sold them both domestically and internationally. He received support from TÜBİTAK and TTGV to manufacture these machines and also formed partnerships with educated individuals, playing a significant role in Turkey's textile industry.
