It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Bu kapsamda taraflı ve tarafsız medyanın, Türk siyasetinin ve toplumsal hareketlerin punk müziği üzerine etkisini birincil kaynaklar olarak dönemin fanzinleri ve haber küpürleri üzerinden ele alır. Bu sayede Punk’ın Türkiye’deki evrimini ve etkileşimini araştırmayı; punk müziğinin sadece bir müzik türü olmanın ötesinde, siyasi ve kültürel bir ifade biçimi olarak nasıl şekillendiğini ve Türk toplumuna nasıl katkıda bulunduğunu açığa çıkarmayı amaçlar.This article aims to comprehensively examine the punk music movement that arrived in Turkey in the early 1970s, focusing on the punk music practice and personal experiences of Tünay Akdeniz, recognized as one of the pioneers of Turkish punk music. Within this scope, it investigates the impact of biased and unbiased media, Turkish politics, and social movements on punk music using primary sources such as fanzines and news clippings from the period.
