It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 15-16).Kurtuluş Savaşı, işgal altındaki bölgelerde konuşlanmış Türk ordusunun ve bölgelerdeki Türk halkının dayanışması ile kazanılmış bir mücadeledir. Sakarya Savaşı'nda Haymana bölgesinde maddi imkanı bulunan Türk aileler, savaştan yorgun düşmelerine rağmen orduya çeşitli yardımlarda bulunmuşlardır. Yüzbaşıoğlu ailesi de, Haymana'nın Culuk ve Halaşlı köylerinde ordunun ihtiyaçlarını karşılamıştır. Savaş sonrasında ekonominin millileştirilmesi adına devlet, Yüzbaşıoğlu ailesini ticarete atılmaları için desteklemiştir. Bu çalışmada, Yüzbaşıoğlu ailesinin yaşadıklarından Haymana'da Sakarya Savaşı savunması, savaş sonrasında Ulus'ta yaptığı ekonomik faaliyetler ve bugünkü iktisadi uğraşları anlatılmıştır.The Turkish War of Independence was won with the solidarity among the deployed Turkish army and the Turkish citizens in the area sunderin vasion.TheTurkish families in the Haymana region, who had financial means, had supported the Turkish army in various ways in the Battle of Sakarya although they were exhausted from war. Yüzbaşıoğlu family, also fulfilled the needs of the soldiers in Haymana's Culuk and Halaşlı villages. In order to nationalize the economy post war, the government economically supported Yüzbaşıoğlu family for them to do trade.
