It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Bu süreçte iktidarı Anavatan Partisi devralmıştır. Metin Emiroğlu da Anavatan Partisi'nin kurucu üyelerindendir. Malatya milletvekili olarak parlamentoda görev almıştır. Ayrıca, bu çalkantılı dönemlerde çeşitli bakanlık görevleri yürütmüştür. Metin Emiroğlu, Türkiye Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı ve Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı görevlerini layıkıyla yerine getirmiş, kelimenin tam anlamıyla hayatını bu ülke siyasetine adamış bir siyasetçimizdir. Bu araştırmada, dönemin meclis tutanakları, çeşitli gazete haberleri ve Metin Emiroğlu ve ailesi ile yaptığımız röportajdan yararlanılarak, kişinin yaşadığı deneyimlere ışık tutulmuştur. Bir siyasetçinin çocukluğundan, siyasi hayatı sonrasına kadar olan süreci kendi ağzından dinlemek gençler için bir yol gösterici rehber niteliği taşımaktadır.Following the 12 September 1980 Military Coup, the process of transferring government to the civilians is a threshold that Turkish Political History overcame with many difficulties. In this process, Motherland Party took over the government. Metin Emiroglu is one of the founding members of the Motherland Party. He became a member of parliament as Malatya deputy. He also held various ministerial posts during these turbulent times. He fulfilled his missions with a great success as the Minister of Labor and Social Security, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Youth and Sports. He was a politician who literally devoted his life to the politics of Turkey. In this study, the experiences of the Metin Emiroglu were highlighted by using parliamentary minutes of that period, various newspaper news and our interview with Metin Emiroglu and his family.
