It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 16 20).Bu makalede 102 yaşındaki eğitim çınarı Saadet Berna'nın biyografisi birçok yönden incelenmiştir. İlk olarak Saadet Berna'nın hayatı çeşitli kaynaklar yardımıyla detaylandırılmıştır. Ardından, kendisiyle yapılan röportaj kullanılarak, onun gözünden Türkiye'de yaşanan önemli olaylarla, geçmişten günümüze eğitim öğretim alanında gerçekleşen değişimlerle ve eğitim alanında verdiği tavsiyelerle birlikte makale oluşturulmuştur. Makalenin teması, Saadet Berna' nın bir eğitim çınarı olmasının yanı sıra, Cumhuriyet Dönemi'ne bizzat şahitlik etmiş olup hissettiklerini ve yaşadıklarını günümüze aktarmasıdır.In this article, academician Saadet Berna who is 102 has been examined. Firstly,the story of her life was detailed with the help of various sources. Afterwards, the article was created with important events that are happened in Turkey from her words and the changes in educational life from past to recent years thanks to the interview that we did with her.
