It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 19-20).Murat Karayalçın’ın siyasi hayatı, 1989 Sosyal Demokrat Halkçı Parti ile başlamıştır. Partinin Belediye Başkanı adayı olarak Karayalçın’ın siyasi hayatı hızlı bir yükselişe geçmiştir. 1989 Ankara Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı olan Murat Karayalçın, hedefini büyüterek SHP Genel Başkanlık yarışına katılmış ve genel başkan olmuştur. Daha sonra, 50. Hükümette devlet bakanlığı, başbakan yardımcılığı ve dışişleri bakanlığı yaparak siyasi hayatında birçok başarıya imza atmıştır. SHP ve CHP’nin birleşmesiyle birlikte, 1995 yılında Samsun’dan milletvekili olarak meclise girmiştir. 16 Aralık 1994 İstanbul İl başkanlığı yapmıştır. Daha sonra İş Bankası yönetim kurulu üyesi olmuş ve hala çalışmaktadır. Murat Karayalçın, eğitimi, aile hayatı ve siyasi ahlakıyla daima topluma örnek bir siyasetçi olmuştur. Topluma, ülkesine ve Ankara’ya kattığı önemli icraatlarla adından her zaman için bahsettirmeyi başarmıştır ve toplumun sevgisini kazanmıştır. Mutlu aile yaşamı ile iyi bir örnek olan, halktan asla kopmayan; hala üretken olmayı sürdüren Karayalçın, yazdığı eseriyle gelecek nesillere izini bırakmıştır.Murat Karayalçın's political life began with the Social Democratic Populist Party in 1989. The political life of Karayalçın as a candidate for the mayor of the party has passed a rapid rise. In 1989, Murat Karayalçın, the mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, enlarged its target and participated in the SHP presidential race and became general president. Later on, he made many successes in his political life by acting as Minister of State, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Ministry in the 50th Government. With the merger of the SHP and the CHP, he entered the parliament as a deputy from Samsun in 1995. He was the provincial presidency of Istanbul Province on 16 December 1994. Later, he became a member of İşbankası directors and still works. Murat Karayalçın has always been a model politician with his education, family life and political ethics. He has always succeeded to talk about his activities with important performances that he contributed to his country and to Ankara and he has won the love of the society. . He has been a good example of happy family life and never broke up with the public.
