It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Eskişehir'e yerleşimlerine odaklanan bu çalışma, göç öncesi ve sonrasındaki yaşamlarının sosyo-kültürel, ekonomik ve kişisel yönlerini aydınlatmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, Romanya'daki yaşamı ele alarak göç öncesi dönemi açıklığa kavuşturmakta ve Köstence ilindeki Kanara kasabasındaki Ruettin Ceylanbaş'ın ailesinin tarımsal mirasını vurgulamaktadır. Aile, Romanya'daki hükümet baskıları sonucunda zorla Türkiye'ye göç etmek zorunda kalarak zorlu bir süreç yaşamıştır. Çalışma, Türkiye'ye varışlarının ardındaki ilk zorlukları daha detaylı bir şekilde ele alarak, yerleşim sorunları, ekonomik zorluklar ve tarımsal geçim kaynaklarının kaybı gibi konuları detaylandırmaktadır. Projede Ceylanbaş ailesinin çocuğu olan Ruettin Ceylanbaş ile yapılan sözlü tarih çalışması kullanılmıştır.This study delves into Ruettin Ceylanbaş’s family's experience of migrating from Romania to Turkey, with a focus on population exchanges. With an emphasis on their resettlement in Eskişehir, the study illuminates the sociocultural, economic, and personal facets of their lives both before and after migration. It sheds light on life in Romania before migration, highlighting Ruettin Ceylanbaş’s family's agricultural heritage in the town of Kanara in the province of Constanta. The family had to endure hardships as a result of the government's pressures in Romania, which finally forced them to migrate forcibly to Turkey. It goes into further detail on the family's early hardships in Turkey, including the problems they had resettling, their financial struggles, and the loss of their agricultural livelihood.
