It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 17).Bu araştırma projesinde kendini eğitime adamış olan Peyman Eren’in hayatı araştırılmıştır. Bu araştırma kapsamında, Peyman Eren’le röportaj yapılmıştır ve Peyman Eren’in kişisel arşivinden çeşitli belgelere araştırma yazısında yer verilmiştir. Bu yazıda 1937’den günümüze kadar Peyman Eren’in hayatı dört farklı zaman dilimine ayrılıp incelenmiştir: öğrencilik hayatı, öğretmenlik hayatı, idarecilik hayatı ve emeklilik hayatı. Peyman Eren hakkında yapılan araştırmalar sınırlı sayıda olduğundan, ikinci kaynaklara da başvurulmakla beraber ağırlıklı olarak Peyman Eren’le yapılan röportajdan ve kendisinin kişisel arşivinden faydalanılmıştır. Eren’in öğretmenlik mesleği, MEB ve YöK gibi çeşitli mecralardaki yöneticilik görevleri esnasındaki tecrübeleri ve gerek yurt içinde gerek yurt dışında olmak üzere eğitim amaçlı yaptığı çalışmalar araştırma kapsamındadır. Peyman Eren özellikle genç kız ve kadınların eğitimine destek olmaya çalışmış; hayatının tüm safhalarında bunun için emek sarf etmiştir. Bu yazı da Eren’in eğitime yaptığı önemli katkılara dikkat çekmek amacıyla yazılmıştır.In this research project, the focus is the life of Peyman Eren, who has spent her entire life to improve education. For this purpose, an interview was made with Peyman Eren and various sources and documents from Peyman Eren's personal archive were included in the research article. In this article, the life of Peyman Eren, from 1937 to the present, has been divided into four different time periods; student life, teaching life, administration life and retirement life. As well as using secondary resources; because of the lack of them; interview with Peyman Eren and her archives were the basis of the research . This paper includes her sacrifices for education, profession of teaching and management history. Since her student life, Peyman Eren has tried to contribute to various aspects of education and has spent considerable effort on this subject.
