It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 17).This guide is aiming to inform people about the effects of ISDEMIR on both Iskenderun and Turkey. It consists of six parts after the introduction that is included to answer the question about the establishment of ISDEMIR and the effects of ISDEMIR on people and Turkey. The first part that is named "Establishment of ISDEMIR" informs people about the conditions in İskenderun before the ISDEMIR and construction process of ISDEMIR. In the second part, the differences between ISDEMIR and other companies are explained and also the co-partners of Iskenderun are mentioned. In the third part, the effects of ISDEMIR port on Iskenderun and Turkey are explained. In the fourth part, there are commentaries given by the people who witnessed to effects of ISDEMIR on people. In the fifth part, the effects of the military coup that happened in 1980 are given. In the sixth part, the reasons why there was a strike in 1989 and consequences are given. This paper will help people to understand the cultural and economic revolution which is caused by ISDEMIR.Bu makale, insanları İSDEMİR'in İskenderun ve Türkiye üzerindeki etkileri hakkında bilgilendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Giriş bölümünden sonra İSDEMİR'in kuruluşu ve İSDEMİR'in İskenderun halkı ve Türkiye üzerindeki etkileri ile ilgili soruyu cevaplamak için altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. "İSDEMİR'in kuruluşu" olarak adlandırılan ilk bölüm, insanları İSDEMİR'den önce İskenderun'daki koşullar ve İSDEMİR'in yapım süreci hakkında bilgilendirmektedir. İkinci bölümde ise İSDEMİR ile diğer şirketler arasındaki farklar açıklanmış ve İskenderun'un ortaklarından bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, İSDEMİR limanının kültürel ve ekonomik açıdan İskenderun ve Türkiye üzerindeki etkileri açıklanmaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde, İSDEMİR'in insanlar üzerindeki etkilerine tanık olanların yorumları vardır. Beşinci bölümde, 1980 yılında meydana gelen askeri darbenin etkileri verilmiştir. Altıncı bölümde, 1989'da grev yapılmasının nedenleri ve sonuçları verilmiştir.
