It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 18-20).Bosna-Hersek, Yugoslavya Federal Sosyalist Cumhuriyeti'ndeki devletlerden biridir. 1473-1878 yılları arasında dört yüz yıl boyunca Osmanlı Devleti'nin egemenliği altında bulunan bu devlet, Birinci Dünya Savaşı'ndan sonra Sırbistan, Hırvatistan, Slovenya, Karadağ, Makedonya ile birlikte Yugoslavya Devleti'ni oluşturmuştur. İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonrası Josip Broz Tito önderliğinde barış içinde yaşayan bu federasyon, Mareşal Tito'nun 1980 yılında ölmesiyle dağılma sürecine girmiştir. 1991'de Hırvatistan ve Slovenya'nın bağımsızlığını ilan etmesiyle Bosna-Hersek’te de referanduma gidilmiş ve bağımsızlık ilan edilmiştir. Fakat Sırbistan ve Hırvatistan’ın Bosna-Hersek'te yaşayan Sırpları ve Hırvatları kışkırtması nedeniyle bu bağımsızlık ilanı kısa sürede bir iç savaşa dönüşmüştür. Oldukça eskiye dayanan dini ve kültürel ilişkiler nedeniyle Türkiye Bosna-Hersek’e yardım göndermek isteyen ülkelerin başında gelmiştir. Bölge halkıyla oldukça iyi ilişkiler kuran Türk güçleri, hem barışın korunmasında hem de sivil halka yiyecek, tıbbi malzeme, inşaat ve altyapı alanlarında destek olunmasında görev almıştır.Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the states in the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia. This state, which was dominated by the Ottoman Empire between 1463-1878 for four hundred years, formed the State of Yugoslavia together with Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Macedonia after the First World War. This federation, which lived in peace under the leadership of Josip Broz Tito after the Second World War, entered the process of disintegration after Josip Broz Tito died in 1980. With the declaration of independence of Croatia and Slovenia in 1991, a referendum was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina and independence was declared. However, this declaration of independence soon turned into a civil war due to the Serbs and Croats' plans to share Bosnia and Herzegovina. Turkey has been one of the countries that want to send aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina due to its religious and cultural relations dating back to ancient times.
