During 1961 Constitution period, Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey was established in April 22, 1962. Although there have been some changes in its structure, Constitutional Court has maintained its significance for our judicial system so far. As the protector of the ground norms and fundamental rights and liberties, Constitutional Court, so to speak, is an invisible hero for our legal system. Constitutional Court fulfills its duty by detecting contrariety in codes that came to Constitutional Court through different supervision ways, to constitution which took its shape from the ground norms and also by removing those codes which are in contradiction with constitution. Thus, Constitutional Court has been maintaining his importance in our legal system for 56 years by preventing the lawmaker from violating people's fundamental rights and liberties and taking actions against our republic's fundamental structure. In the process of writing this research, some sources on Constitutional Court and its judgment, Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, the laws on the Constitutional Court and the interviews that are made with Prof. Dr. Erdal Onar and Prof. Dr. Ece Göztepe çelebi are used. In the light of the information which is provided by these sources, Constitutional Court's duty, importance and effects on our judicial system are put down on paper. In order to understand the necessity and significance of Constitutional Court, it is essential to know the circumstances before the establishment of Constitutional Court, the factors laying behind the establishment of Constitutional Court and its effects, structure and the consequences of its judgments.23 pages.TurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Anayasa MahkemesiAnayasa YargısıAnayasaTemel hak ve hürriyetlerTemel normlarConstitutional CourtConstitutional JudgmentConstitutionFundamental rights and libertiesGround normsMERCAN HIST 200-2/3 2017-18Temel normların ve hukukun özünün koruyucusu, görünmez kahraman Türk Anayasa MahkemesiStudent ProjectSPB2736
