It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 20).Gültekin Gazioğlu 1940 yılının Mayıs ayında Maçka'da dünyaya gelmiştir. Gültekin Gazioğlu öğretmenlik mesleğini yapıyor ve aynı zamanda Türkiye öğretmenler Birliği Derneğinde bir üyeydi. 1976 yılında TöB-DER olağanüstü kongresinde genel başkan seçildi. 1980 darbesiyle yurt dışına çıkması gerekti, yurda tekrar 2005 yılında döndü ve 10 Ağustos 2005'de mide kanseri sebebiyle vefat etmiştir.Gültekin Gazioğlu was born in Maçka, Trabzon on May,1940. He is a Turkish literature teacher but he was known as the last president of the TöB-DER. While trying to improve the education system in Turkey as a president of TöB-DER, with the 1980 Coup, he had to move to the Europe. For 11 years, Gültekin Gazioğlu cannot allowed to come back to Turkey. Unfortunately, on 2005, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in Frankfurt, Germany. Gültekin Gazioğlu passed away on 10 Agusut 2005 in Ankara.
