It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Bu araştırma yazısı, Server Ganiyev’in Azerbaycanda geçirdiği çocukluk yıllarını incelemeye başlamıştır. Makale yazısının sonraki kısımları; gençlik yıllarına, yetişkinlik yıllarına odaklanmış ve vefatından bahsederek sona ermiştir. Hayat hikayesi özellikle Türkiye’ye gelişi ve Bilkent Senfoni Orkestrasında olduğu zaman dilimine odaklanıp anlatılmıştır. Türkiye’ye gelişindeki sebepleri daha iyi anlamak için 1990’lı yıllarda Azerbaycan-Türkiye ilişkilerinin tarihsel arka planına yer verilmiş ve Türkiye-Rusya müzik eğitimi arasındaki farkları daha iyi anlayabilmek için Rus ekolü araştırılmıştır. Server Ganiyev’in hayatındaki dönüm noktalarını daha iyi anlamak adına çoğunlukla kızı Narmina Ganiyeva’nın röportajından ve Xatira Ahmadli tarafından yazılan biyografik kitap kullanılmıştır.Server Ganiyev was born in Azerbaycan in 1937 and he is a violin virtuoso and also a state artist. In this research we began our study with his childhood to his death. Especially we focused on the timeline when he came to Turkey and when he was in the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra. We analyzed the time 1990’s to get a more thorough historical background in order to understand the underlying reasons why he came to Turkey. Also we focused on the music education differences between Turkey and Russia by having detailed information about Russian ecole.
