It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Türkiye ile Almanya arasında Almanya’daki iş gücünün azlığı ve Türkiye’deki nüfus artışı ve devamındaki istihdam sorunları sebebiyle Türkiye’den Almanya’ya 1961 yılında imzalanan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ile Almanya Federal Cumhuriyeti Arasında İşgücü Anlaşması anlaşması ile işçi göçü başlamıştır. Başlangıçta kısa süreli olarak düşünülen bu göç daha sonra uzun yıllar sürmüştür. Bu süreçte 1971 Almanya’ya işçi olarak giden ülgen ailesi yaşananların bir kısmına tanıklık etmiştir. Bu çalışmada ülgen ailesinin Almanya’ya göç etmelerinin nedenleri, Almanya’daki yaşamları ve uyum süreçleri ve Almanya’dan dönüşleri anlatılmıştır.Because of the shortage in manforce in Germany and the employment gap problem due to the fast increase in population in Turkey, between these states the international treaty of labor force is signed and ratified and this treaty started the migration of the workers. At first this migration is thought to be temporary but then it lasted for many years. In this period, in 1971 the Ulgen family migrated to Germany and witnessed some of the experiences.
