It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 24).Mümtaz Soysal, yaşamı boyunca çeşitli görevlerde bulundu, hukukçuluğu ile Türkiye’yi yurtdışında da temsil etti. Yaşamının önemli anlarında yanında bulunanlardan Soysal’ı dinlemek bize o dönemin Türkiye’si hakkında da bilgi sahibi yapar. Soysal’ı hukukçu kimliği ve başarılı kariyeri ile tanımanın yanında onu öğrencileri gözünden de görmeye çalışmak bize önemli bilgiler verir. Soysal’ın anaysa anlayışı, etkileyici konuşmaları, hocalığı, devlet adamlığı, köşe yazarlığı bize Hocanın çok yönlülüğünü gösterir. Soysal’ı önemli yönleriyle ele almak Mümtaz Soysal’ın hayatına ve o dönemin Türkiye’sine bir pencere açmak gibidir.Mümtaz Soysal has participated in different assignments in his lifetime, as a jurist he represented Turkey in foreign countries. Listening to people who was around him during his important times, will also inform us about those times of Turkey. Beside his jurist ID and successful carrier, trying to see Soysal in his students’ eyes will inform us in an important way. Soysal’s understanding of the Constitution, impressive speeches, his work as a teacher, statesmanship, his way of being a columnist shows us his versatility.
