It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Gelen göçmenler Türkiye’nin kültürel zenginliğini artırsa da ilk yıllarda Türkiye’de hoş karşılanmamış ve ülkeye uyum sağlamakta zorluk yaşamıştır. Dönemin siyasi politikaları sayesinde Yugoslavya'dan gelen göçmenler ve Türk halkı arasındaki çatışmalar olabildiğince azaltılmış, halkların birbirine bakış açıları da olumlu yönde değişmiştir. Bu araştırma makalesi göçlerin başladığı yıldan günümüze uzanan süreçte, Türk ve Balkan insanının karşılıklı imgesel bakış açılarının dönüşümünü daha yakından incelemeye olanak sağlayacaktır.The Balkan migrations that took place in the 1950s and 1960s left deep traces in Turkey, whose effects continue to this day. Although the incoming immigrants increased Turkey's cultural diversity, they were not welcomed in Turkey in the initial years and had difficulty in adapting to the country. Thanks to the policies of the period, conflicts between immigrants from Yugoslavia and the Turkish people were minimized, and the people's perspectives on each other changed positively.
