Agop Tomurcuk started to work as an apprentice with the Ziljdian family, which had a great influence on the cymbal industry, and later founded Istanbul Zilleri with Mehmet Tamdeger. The partnership of the two partners under the name of Istanbul Zilleri, which continued successfully until 1996, ended with the death of Agop Tomurcuk in a boating accident. While Mehmet Tamdeger, one of the founders, established a company called "Istanbul Mehmet Zilleri", Agop Tomurcuk's sons Sarkis and Arman Tomurcuk established "Istanbul Agop Zilleri". Unlike other companies that produce bells by fabrication, Istanbul Agop Cymbals has become one of the few and globally respected Turkish companies that still produce bells in traditional ways dating back to Ottoman times.16 pagesTurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/OsmanlıZilciyanBateriEl yapımıFabrikasyonZanaatOttomanZiljdianDrumsHandmadeFabricationCraftmanshipİstanbul Agop ZilleriStudent ProjectSPB4078
