It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 13).Günümüzdeki ismi Yaylalar olan Hevek Köyü, Artvin’de Yusufeli ilçesine bağlıdır. Eskiden Yusufeli ilçesinde birden fazla Hevek isminde köy bulunduğundan Yaylalar köyüne Yukarı Hevek de denirdi. Köy, ilçe merkezine 50 km uzaklıktadır. Bu köyde Türklerle birlikte birçok Gürcü de yaşamaktadır. Araştırmanın sınırları dahilinde Gürcü ve Ermenilerin Karadeniz bölgesine göçü, Yaylalar Köyündeki Gürcülerin Türkleşmesi ve Şenol ailesinin Türkiye’ye göçü ve göçten sonra yaşadıkları sıkıntıları incelenecektir. Artvin’de yaşayan Gürcülerin göçü ve göçten sonrası kültürlerinin değişimi hakkında yeterli sayıda kaynak bulunmadığı için Artvin’deki Gürcülerin Türkleşmesi araştırmaya değer görülmüştür.Hevek village, whose current name is Yaylalar, is a village connected to Yusufeli district in Artvin. In the past, the village of Yaylalar was also called Yukarı Hevek, since there was more than one village named Hevek in Yusufeli district. Yaylalar village is 50 km away from Yusufeli town centre. Many Georgians live in this village along with the Turks. Within the boundaries of the research, the migration of Georgians and Armenians to the Black Sea region, the Turkification of Georgians in Yaylalar Village and the migration of Şenol family to Turkey and the problems they experienced after migration will be examined.
