It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 17).Bu makale kapsamında Gülhane Askerî Tıp Akademisi’nin (GATA) kuruluşu ve geçmişinden söz edilecek, alanında yaptığı bazı önemli çalışmalara ve mezunlarının toplumdaki önemine yer verilecek ve zamanla evrilerek kapanmasına kadar giden sürece değinilecektir. Makalenin odağına GATA’dan mezun olmuş askerî kadın hemşireler alınacak, onların anılarına yer verilecek ve bu mezun hemşireler üstünden GATA hakkında çeşitli incelemeler yapılacaktır. Yüksekokulun sağladığı eğitimin ve kazandırdığı yüksek derece disiplinin okulun mezunları üzerinde bıraktığı etkilerden bahsedilecek ve bir GATA mezunu olmanın bu kadın hemşirelere ne gibi katkılar sunduğu, hayatlarını nasıl değiştirdiği incelenecektir.This article delves into the foundation and historical journey of the Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA), shedding light on its noteworthy contributions in its field and underscoring the societal significance of its alumni. The narrative extends to trace the chronological evolution of GATA, culminating in its eventual closure. The primary focus of the article is on female military nurses who have graduated from GATA. Their experiences will be explored, and a comprehensive examination of GATA will be conducted through the lens of their memories.
