It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 13-14).Bu araştırmada Kıbrıs barış harekâtı döneminde Girne’de silah kaçakçılığı yapan Paulo Paolides ve Paolides’in birçok efsaneye ev sahipliği yapan Mavi Köşkü incelenmiştir. Köşkün mimarisi ve iç tasarımının işlenmesinin yanı sıra o dönemdeki Türk-Rum ilişkileri ve Kıbrıs barış harekâtı hakkında araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırma sadece yazılı kaynaklardan faydalanılarak yazılmıştır.This research is based on famous gun smuggler Paulo Paolides who lived in Kyrenia during the Cyprus Peace Operation and his famous mysterious safehouse, Blue Villa. Besides these, research topics include architecture and interial design of Blue Villa, Turk-Greek relations and Cyprus Peace Operation.
