It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 15-16).Bir çok bilgisayar sisteminin, birbirleri ile bağlanarak bilgi akışını gerçekleştirdiği iletişim sistemi olan internetin;1969 yılında ABD Savunma Bakanlığı tarafından ARPANet olarak bilinen ilk paket dağıtım ağının kurulmasıyla temelleri atıldı. 1987 yılında başlayan interneti Türkiye'ye getirme çabaları, ODTÜ_TÜBİTAK işbirliği sayesinde 1993 yılında gerçekleşti. Alt yapı Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi'nde atıldıktan sonra diğer üniversitelere de yayıldı ve eğitim alanında aktif olarak kullanılması , ODTÜ'nün yanı sıra ÖSYM ve YÖK işbirliği ile sağlandı TÜBİTAK'ın altında kurulan Ulusal Akademik Ağ ve Bilgi Merkezi (ULAKBİLİM) ve Ulusal Akademik Ağ (ULAKNET) da internetin gelişmesine ve yayılmasına katkıda bulundu. Eğitimde,1996 yılında ÖSS, ÖYS ve TUS sınavlarının internet üzerinden açıklanmasından, 2000 yılında ODTÜ de açılan internet ortamındaki master programına doğru büyük bir gelişme kaydedildi. Türkiye'de internetin kurulmasının ardından eğitim, kültür, sağlık ve ticari alanda gelişmeler kaydedildi. Bununla beraber, internetin, onlarca farklı alanı kapsayarak günümüze de etkileri oldu.The internet, a communication system in which many computer systems connect with each other to flow information, was laid the foundations in 1969 with the establishment of the first packet distribution network, known as ARPANet, by the U.S. Department of Defense. Efforts to bring the internet to Turkey, which started in 1987, took place in 1993 thanks to the cooperation of Metu-TUBITAK. The infrastructure has spread to other universities after being laid at Middle East Technical University and its active use in the field of Education has been achieewed of the coperation of Metu as well as he OSYM and YÖK. The National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM) and the National Academic Network (ULAKNET) es taplished under TÜBITAK also contributed to the development and spread of the internet. In education, in 1996, OSS, OYS and TUS exams were announced on the internet; in 2000, a major development was made towards the master program in the internet environment opened in Metu. Following the establishment of the internet in Turkey, developments in education, culture, health and commercial areas were noted.
