It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 19).Yapmış olduğumuz çalışmada elektronik müziğin ülkemizdeki öncüsü olan Bülent Arel’in hayatı incelenmiştir. Makalenin giriş kısmında, Bülent Arel’in çocukluk ve gençlik yıllarından, makalenin ikinci kısmında ise müzik kariyerindeki en verimli dönemlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü kısımda, Arel’in Yale Üniversitesi’nde çalışmaya başlamasından bahsedilmektedir. Dördüncü kısımda, Ankara ile New York arasında gidip geldiği dönemdeki yaşamı anlatılmaktadır. Beşinci olarak dans ve elektronik müzik detaylı olarak ele alınmış ve hayatındaki önemli noktalara değinilmiştir. Makalenin son kısmında buhranlı geçen hastalıkla mücadele ettiği seneler ve vefatı anlatılmıştır. Ek olarak, Bülent Arel’in tüm eserleri bir liste halinde en sona eklenmiştir.In our study, the life of Bülent Arel, who is the pioneer of electronic music in our country, has been examined. In the introduction part of the article, the childhood and youth of Bülent Arel are mentioned, and in the second part of the article, his most productive periods in his music career are mentioned. In the third part, it is mentioned that Arel started to work at Yale University. Fourthly, his life in the period between Ankara and New York is explained. In the fifth part, dance and electronic music were discussed in detail and important points in his life were mentioned. In the last part of the article, the years he struggled with the depressed disease and his death are explained.
