It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Kunuri Muharebelerinde Türk birlikleri Birleşmiş Milletlerin geri çekilmesinde zaman kazandırmayı amaçlamıştır. Türk askerlerinin Kore Savaşı'na katılması ve Kunuri Muharebelerinde üstlendiği etkin rol, NATO'ya girme sürecine katkıda bulunmuştur. Kunuri Muharebelerinde savaşmış askerlerden biri de İzzet Arslan'dır. İzzet Arslan Kore'de bulunduğu sürece pek çok mektup yazmış, köy odasına yazdığı bir mektubunda Kunuri Muharebelerinin gelişimini anlatmıştır. Bu mektuplar ve diğer kaynaklardan yola çıkarak Kunuri Muharebeleri incelenecektir.The Kunuri Battles, which took place between 26-30 November 1950 in the Korean War, are the first battles of the Turkish Armed Forces that went to Korea. In Kunuri Battles, Turkish troops aimed to save time in the withdrawal of the United Nations. The participation of Turkish soldiers in the Korean War and the active role played in the Battle of Kunuri contributed to the process of joining NATO. One of the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Kunuri is Izzet Arslan. Izzet Arslan wrote many letters while he was in Korea and explained the course of the Battle of Kunuri in a letter he wrote to the chamber of village.
