It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 16-18).Elhamra Sineması 1923 yılında faaliyete geçmiştir. İstanbul tarihi ve Türk Sinema sektörüne çeşitli katkılar sağlamıştır ve sanat dünyasındaki bazı ilklere imza atmıştır. Mimari yapısı dönemine göre moderndir ve Avrupa’nın mimarisinden esintiler taşımıştır. Bunun yanı sıra bulunduğu konumu kültür ve sanat bakımından zenginleştirmiştir. Ayrıca ekonomik açıdan da çevresine de katkı sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada Elhamra Sineması’nın kuruluşundan yandığı güne kadar olan süreç farklı açılardan incelenmiş, tarihteki yerinden bahsedilmiş ve mimari yapısı analiz edilmiştir. Elhamra Sineması’nın yangından sonraki süreçte tarihini koruması için ne gibi yollar izleyebileceği anlatılmıştır.The Alhambra cinema was established in 1923. It has made various contributions to the history of Istanbul and the Turkish cinema sector and has made some firsts in the art world. Its architectural structure is modern compared to its period and has affected European architecture. In addition, its location has enriched it in terms of culture and art. This cinema also contributed economically to its environment. In this study, the process from the foundation of the Alhambra cinema to the day it burned down is examined from different angles, its place in history was mentioned and its architectural structure is analyzed.
