It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Araştırma genel olarak dört kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Türkiye’de özel müzecilik ve özel koleksiyonculuğun tarihi, Baksı Müzesinin kuruluşu ve konumu, Baksı Müzesinin kazandığı yerel ve yabancı ödüller ve yerel ve uluslararası basında Baksı Müzesi. Türkiye’de özel müzecilik ve özel koleksiyonculuğun tarihinde, ülkemizde Cumhuriyet dönemiyle başlayan arkeolojik ve etnografik müzelerin tarihinden bahsedilmiştir. Ardından değişen sosyal kültürel değerlerin etkisiyle kurulan özel koleksiyonların müzelere çevrilmesi tarihi ulaşılan kaynaklar yoluyla pekiştirilmiştir. Baksı Müzesi’nin kuruluşu ve kuruluşunda yaşanılan zorluklar, müzenin içeriğini oluşturan koleksiyonlar ve müzenin genel hatlarına ikinci bölümde değinilmiştir. Devamında Baksı Müzesi’nin Türkiye ve Avrupa’da kazandığı ödüller ve bu ödüllerin Türkiye’deki özel müzecilik alanında yaptığı katkılardan bahsedilmiştir. Son olarak Baksı Müzesi’nin yerel ve uluslararası alanda aldığı tepkilere yer verilmiştir.The paper consists of four parts: private museums in Turkey and their history, the foundation process and the location of the Baksi Museum, the national and international awards Baksı Museum has received, and the place of Baksı Museum in the local, national and international press. In the first part of the research, the history of archeologic and ethnographic museums starting with the republic period has been covered. Next, the history of transformation of personal collections into museums with changing socio-cultural values was solidified by making use of the sources found. The foundation of Baksı Museum, hardships experienced while founding the museum, collections that form the contents of the museum, and the general aspects of the museum are mentioned in the second part. Continuing, awards that Baksı Museum has won, and the contributions said awards provided for private museums in Turkey are talked about.
