Antik kentin kazı çalışmaları 1888 yılında, C. Humann ve W. Dörpfeld’in öncülüğünde gerçekleştirilmeye başlanmış ve Tralleis arkeolojisi için milat kabul edilmiştir. Kazı çalışmaları 20 ve 21. yüzyıllarda Türk arkeologlar tarafından devam ettirilmiş, günümüzde ise Atatürk Üniversitesi Klasik Arkeoloji Bölümü Öğretim Üyesi Prof. Dr. Nurettin Öztürk’ün yönetiminde yürütülmektedir.Tralleis was an ancient city, which was built to a plateau near the Kestane range and located in the northern part of Güzelhisar/Aydın. It had hosted various societies over time due to its fertile soil and its moderate climate conditions. The excavation work of the ancient city had been initiated by C. Humann and W. Dörpfeld in 1888 and it had been accepted as the “turning point of the Tralleis archeology” by the authorities. These excavation works had been continued by Turkish archeologists during the 20th and 21st centuries. Currently, they are being conducted by Professor Nurettin Öztürk who is a faculty member in the Department of Classical Archeology of Atatürk University.31 pagesTurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Tralleis Antik Kenti kazı çalışmalarının tarihiStudent ProjectSPB3728
