It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 13-14).This research will be focused on the Trabzon (Trebizond)-Tabriz Trade Route, which was mainly active during the nineteenth century, from 1830 to 1900. It was revived due to multiple reasons, which will be discussed in the research. This research will also observe the effects the trade route had on both of the cities it connects, Trabzon and Tabriz, as well as the effects that other countries and rival routes had on the route itself. Furthermore, the factors that led to the decline of the route will be discussed, and at the end of the research, it will be concluded that the route had many important effects on the economies of the countries it connected.Bu araştırma, 19. yüzyılda, ağırlıklı olarak 1830’dan 1900’e kadar, faaliyet göstermiş olan Trabzon-Tabriz Ticaret Yolu üzerine odaklanacaktır. Bu ticaret yolunun canlandırılmasına neden olan sebepler araştırma içerisinde ele alınacaktır. Bu araştırma aynı zamanda ticaret yolunun bağladığı şehirler olan Trabzon ve Tebriz üzerindeki etkilerini ve diğer ülkelerin ve rakip rotaların güzergâh üzerindeki etkilerini gözlemleyecektir.
