It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Miçooğulları’nın hayatı ve deneyimleri göz önünde bulundurularak 90’lar siyasetindeki kadın siyasetçilerin cinsiyetsizleştirilmesine odaklanılacaktır. Kadının siyasetteki görünürlüğünü artırma amacıyla verilen çabaların yeterliliği, Türkiye’de toplumun çeşitli bölgelerinde politikaya atılmış kadın siyasetçilere ve onların hem sosyoekonomik hem de sosyokültürel durumlarına göre değişmektedir.The lack of female politicians in party membership and election results was one of the primary features of Turkish politics in the 1990s. A prominent female politician, Türkan Miçooğulları persists despite criticism from the public and those around her, particularly during the election. In the 1994 Izmir municipal elections, she campaigned as a candidate for president of Narlıdere. By focusing on the experiences and life of Türkan Miçooğulları, it will center on the de-genderization of women in politics.
