It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 23-25).Gençlik yıllarından itibaren futbola ilgi duyan Süleyman Seba, Beşiktaş futbol tarihinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. 1926 yılında doğan Seba, 1943 yılından 1954 yılına kadar Beşiktaş’ta futbolcu olarak oynamış, 1954 yılında ise sakatlığı nedeni ile futbolu bırakmak zorunda kalmıştır. 1984 yılında ise Beşiktaş başkanlığına aday olmuş ve 2000 yılına kadar başkanlığını sürdürmüştür. 2000 yılından sonra onursal başkan olan Süleyman Seba, 2014’te vefat edene kadar onursal başkan olmaya devam etmiştir. Süleyman Seba, sadece Beşiktaş oyuncuları ve taraftarları tarafından değil, tüm futbolseverler tarafından günümüze kadar saygı duyulan ve sevilen bir başkan olarak hatıralardaki kendine has yeri korumaya devam etmektedir.Süleyman Seba had been interested in football since his youth and took an important part in Beşiktaş football history. Süleyman Seba, who was born in 1926, played as a football player for Beşiktaş from 1943 to 1954. He had to end his football career in 1954 due to an injury. In 1984 Süleyman Seba announced his candidacy for presidency of Beşiktaş JK. In the year 2000 he didn’t apply for candidacy and thus retired from presidency. Süleyman Seba became honorary president after 2000 and continued to be honorary president until his death in 2014.
