It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Bu çalışma 1968-1976 yılları arasında Moğollar grubunun müziksel gelişimini, grubun üyeleri ile olan geçmişini, müziklerinin Türk halk müziği ile olan ilişkisini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Batı’da 68 kuşağı ile beraber yükselişe geçen rock müziğin, Anadolu karakteristiği taşıyan Doğu müziği ile olan sentezinin irdelenmesi çalışmanın inceleme kapsamındadır. Araştırma, Moğollar’ın ilk solo konserlerini verdikleri 1968 yılından başlayarak grup halindeki çalışmalarını ilk kez sonlandırdıkları 1976 yılına dek elde ettikleri başarıları ve müziksel serüvenlerinin gelişimini incelemektedir. Araştırma, grup üyeleri ile yapılacak röportajlar ile desteklendi. Moğollar’ın Türkiye’deki müziksel gelişiminde etkili olan siyasal ve ekonomik koşullar incelendi. Moğollar grubunun kuruluş süreci, çıkardıkları albümler ve plaklar, aldıkları ödüller araştırma konumuzun kapsamı içerisindedir.This study aims to reveal the musical development of the Moğollar band between 1968-1976, its history with the members of the band and their relationship with Turkish folk music. Rock music, which has risen with the generation of 68 in the West, and its synthesis with Eastern and Anatolian music, is within the scope of the study. The research examines the achievements and musical adventures of the Moğollar until 1976, from their first performed solo concerts, until the end of their work as a group in 1976. Datas on this process was supported by interviews with group members. The political and economic conditions which affect the improvement of Anatolian Rock produced by Moğollar in Turkey was analysed.
