It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 18-19).Projede ilk olarak, ailenin kim olduğu, fertlerin ayrı ayrı önemi, Arap Hristiyan olarak Müslüman bir coğrafyada hayat faaliyetlerini sürdürüyor oluşları ve Türkiye'ye gelişleri incelendi. Ardından İskenderun'da kurulup bir dünya şirketi haline gelen Lyonel Antoine Makzume Deniz Taşımacılığı şirketinden derinlemesine bahsedildi. Bu şirketin gerek Türkiye, gerek aile için taşıdığı maddi ve manevi önem belirtildi. ġirketin ardından ise Makzume ailesinin yapmış olduğu hayırseverlik faaliyetleri, kurdukları devlet okulu ve vakıflar anlatıldı. Aile tarihi, deniz taşımacılığı şirketi ve yaptıkları hayırseverlik faaliyetleri ana başlıklarımız olurken, konu alt başlıklarında çeşitli sorulara cevap aranarak aile tarihi detaylı bir şekilde anlatıldı.In this project, it has been looked for who the family is, the importance of the family members individually, their life and how they cope with that life as Arab Christians on a Muslim area and their arrival to Turkey. After that, it has been deeply searched for Lyonel Antoine Makzume Sea Transport Cooperation which is a Ġskenderun based company that opens up to the world and became a worldwide company. It has been looked for the importance of the company both material and spiritual importance it carries for both family and Turkey. After the company, charity work that Makzume family has made, a public school that they establish and foundations that they set up were the next events that been looked for. Family History Sea Transport Cooperation and charity work were our main points.
