It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Tarihin erken dönemlerinden beri farklı formlarda kendini gösteren illüzyon sanatı, Türkiye’de de özellikle Zati Sungur, Sermet Erkin gibi önemli temsilcilerin çabalarıyla yer bulmaya başlamıştır. Zati Sungur’un vefatının ardından Sihirbazlar Kralı unvanını alan Ertuğrul Işınbark, Türkiye’de illüzyonizmin modernleşmesi, daha geniş kitlelere ulaşması, profesyonelleşmesi ve günümüzdeki halini alması kapsamında önemli katkılarda bulunmuştur.Illusionism or magic can be defined as a performance art based on making an event or object appear different from what it is in order to mislead the audience by using various deception techniques. The art of illusion, which has manifested itself in different forms since the early periods of history, has begun to find a place in Turkey, especially with the efforts of important representatives such as Zati Sungur and Sermet Erkin.
