It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Ankara : İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent Üniversitesi İktisadi, İdari ve Sosyal Bilimler Fakültesi, Tarih Bölümü, 2023.Includes bibliographical references (pages 19-20).Atlı Köşk İstanbul’un Emirgan ilçesinde yer alan, köklü tarihe sahip bir mimari eser ve günümüzde de kültürel açıdan zengin bir müzedir. 1923 yılında Edoardo de Nari adlı mimar tarafından çizimi ve yapım süreci başlanan köşk birçok alışıldık yapıdan farklı bir plana sahiptir. Eski sahiplerinden taşıdığı izler ile birden fazla önemli siyasetçi ve lider ağırladı ve Sabancı Ailesi de 1966 yılında taşındığı bu köşke 30 yıl kadar ev sahipliği yaptıktan sonra 1998 yılında Sabancı Üniversitesi’ne müzeye çevirmek üzere emanet edildi. Ayşen Savaş önderliğinde müzenin restorasyonu bitiminde müze halka açıldı. 2002 yılından günümüze kadar faaliyetlerine devam eden müze, değerli kitap sanatları, hat, resim, dekoratif eser ve arkeolojik eser koleksiyonlarını bünyesinde barındırmaktadır. Ayrıca, Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi’nde konser, tiyatro ve atölye gibi başka faaliyetlere de yer verilmektedir.Atlı Köşk is located in Emirgan, district of Istanbul, is a museum that is rich in culture and is an architectural work that has a deep-rooted historical background today. The mansion, which has a different construction plan from most of the buildings, was started by the architect named Edoardo de Nari. With the traces of the former owners of the mansion, it hosted many important politicians and leaders. Moreover, after living in the mansion for 30 years starting from 1966, Sabancı Family entrusted the mansion to Sabancı University in 1998 in order to turn the mansion into a museum. The museum was opened to the public after the restoration under the leadership of Ayşen Savaş. Since 2002, the museum has continued to include valuable book arts, calligraphy, decorative works, paintings, and archeological works in its collections.
