It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 15-16).Bu araştırma, Trabzon’un Çaykara ilçesinden Gökçeada’ya yapılan 1973 göçünü konu almaktadır. Araştırmamız, Çaykara’da yaşanan doğal felaketler sebebiyle yaşanmış olan göçün tarihçesini ve sonuçlarını anlatmaktadır. Bir göç mekanı olarak Gökçeada, gerçekleşen afetlerin Çaykara’da bıraktıkları etki, göçün ana sebebi olarak belirtilen heyelan ve göçün sonrası yaşanan sosyokültürel gelişmeler de ele alınmıştır. İhtiyacımız olan bilgilere erişmek için gazete haberlerinden ve internet haber sitelerinden yararlanmakla birlikte konuyla ilgili yapılmış medya niteliğinde olan belgesel ve internet yazıları da incelediğimiz kaynaklar arasındadır. Yapmış olduğumuz iki adet sözlü röportaj da bizim için birincil kaynak görevini görmüştür.This study is written on the immigration that happened in 1973 from Trabzon’s Çaykara district to Gökçeada. Our research explains the history of the immigration that was caused by the natural disasters that happened in Çaykara, along with its consequences. Gökçeada as a place that allows immigrants, the effects the disasters had on Çaykara, the landslide that was stated as the main reason for the immigration and the sociocultural developments that happened after the immigration were also topics of interest in the study. As sources to reach the information we needed, we analysed documentaries and internet articles that have media characteristics as well as newspaper reports and internet news sites.
