It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Ebru Uygun, katıldığı uluslararası yardım projelerinden etkilenmiş ve 1994 yılında İstanbul’da TOÇEV’i kurarak dönemin sivil toplum kuruluşlarının uluslararası alanda faaliyet göstermesine öncü olmuştur. TOÇEV’in kurulduğu dönemden bu yana yaptığı çalışmalar, Türkiye’deki eğitim alanında faaliyet gösteren diğer vakıflar ve dernekler ile karşılaştırılarak ele alınmıştır. Aynı zamanda projelerin işleyişi ve vakfın misyonlarından bahsedilerek TOÇEV’in 90’lardan itibaren katettiği yol incelenmiştir.This article focuses on the history and projects of TOÇEV, founded by Ebru Uygun and her companions. Ebru Uygun was impressed by the international aid projects she participated in and founded TOÇEV in Istanbul in 1994, leading the non-governmental organizations of the period to operate internationally. The work done by TOÇEV since its establishment has been discussed by comparing it with other foundations and associations operating in the field of education in Turkey.
