Bu araştırmada günümüzün önemli tıbbi dallarından biri olan Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji biliminden, Türkiye’deki gelişimini hızlandıran ünlü isimlerden ve hastanelerden bahsedildi. Bu öncü hastanelerden biri olan Eğirdir Kemik Hastalıkları Hastanesi üzerine odaklanıldı. Hastanenin kuruluş süreci, gelişimi ve günümüzdeki atıl duruma gelişi irdelendi. Ek olarak, hastanenin popülaritesini kazanması ile bölge ekonomisine katkıları belirtildi. Bölge halkından önemli sözlü kaynakların yardımıyla durum açığa kavuşturulmaya çalışıldı.

Today’s one of the significant medical branches, Orthopedics and Traumatology, the famous names and the hospitals that facilitate the acceleration of the branch in Turkey are mentioned. The research is done about Eğirdir Bone-Joint Diseases Hospital as one of the pioneer hospitals of the Orthopedics and Traumatology area. By the otiose position of the hospital; the establishment of the hospital, the development process, and the condition at present are scrutinized. Additionally, the popularity that the hospital gained and the contribution to the Eğirdir folk is indicated. With the help of the significant oral sources from Eğirdir, the conditions of the hospital are tried to be expressed.
