Dünyada bir asırdan biraz daha uzun bir geçmişe sahip olan aerobasinin Türkiye’de oluşum ve gelişim aşamalarının incelendiği bu metinde 1914 yılında Teğmen Fazıl Bey’in attığı ilk adımlardan günümüze kadar gelen ve Türk Yıldızları ile zirve yapmış Türkiye aerobasi tarihinin incelendiği bu çalışmada Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nde kurulmuş akrotimler ele alınmıştır. Neredeyse dünya havacılık tarihiyle yaşıt olan ve dünya aerobasi tarihiyle eş zamanlı gelişim kaydeden bu çalışmalar, Osmanlı Devleti’ne ilk tayyarelerin gelmesiyle başlar ve günümüzde halen sürmektedir. Bir akrotim olarak Türk Yıldızları’nın kurulma sürecinde yaşananlar, kullandıkları ekipmanlar, eğitimleri, gösterileri icra ederken hissettikleri, kuruluşlarından günümüze geçirdiği değişimler ve sergilenen gösterilerden oluşan çalışmada belirtilen konular haricinde Türk Yıldızları’nın amaçları, rolü, görevleri ve önemi de ayrıca incelenerek kayda geçirilmiştir. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin aerobasi takımlarının dünü, bugünü ve yarına dair planlarına yer verilen metinde aerobasi pilotlarının anılarına da ayrıca yer verilmiştir.

Aerobatic has a history which is a little more than a century. Turkey also plays a role in it which begins with Lieutenant Fazil Beg’s first attempts at aerobatics in 1914. It’s creation and development is surveyed in this text which mainly focuses on Turkish Stars, a peak point for Turkish Aerobatics. The text also includes other Turkish acroteams which formed throughout the Turkish aerobatics history. History of Turkish acroteams started when the first planes arrived by Ottoman Empire, and since then it has simultaneously progressed with the world aerobatics history. The events occured on the formation of Turkish Stars, their equipment, education, feelings they experience when they are on airshows, and memories of pilots are also subjects to this research. The text also stresses the mission, aim, role, importance of Turkish Stars and history and future of the Turkish acroteams with the memories of the acroteam member pilots.
