Abstract

Şarap üretimi ve bağcılık Türkiye'nin önemli ekonomik ve kültürel faaliyetlerden biridir. Denizli'nin Çal ilçesi bu iki faaliyetin yoğun olarak gerçekleştiği bölgedir. Yerel halk geçmişten beri bu faaliyetler ile iç içe yaşamaktadır. Bu sebeple ilçede şarap kültürüne ve ekonomisine dair zengin bir tarih yatmaktadır. Bu makalede Çal'ın şarap üretimi ve bağcılık tarihi sosyo-kültürel açıdan incelenecek, bölgenin şarap üretimi ve bağcılık sektörüne dayalı ekonomisinin geçmişten günümüze gelişim sürecinden bahsedilecektir.

Wine production and vinegrowing are some of Turkey's important economic and cultural aspects. The county of Çal is a region where these two businesses are commonly conducted by the locals. Therefore the region possesses a deep history of wine culture and economy. In this article, Çal's wine production and vinegrowing will be examined in terms of sociocultural and economic aspects, and the region's economy that's based on wineproduction and vinegrowing will be explored throughout the years.
